Modernizing Medicine pulls in $38m Series E for mobile EMR

Healthcare-focused software developer Modernizing Medicine Inc. said today it raised $38 million in Series E financing to fund its cloud-based Electronic Medical Assistant mobile device-based electronic medical record system. The company’s EMA system is designed for specialty-specific EMRs, available on Apple‘s (NSDQ:AAPL) iPad or through the web from any connected device. The system is designed for the dermatology, opthalmology, orthopedics, otolaryngology, gastroenterology, urology and plastic surgery markets, Modernizing Medicine said.
